More About the Program
Certified Personal Trainer Olivia Conklin leads this program and explains that, “Participants can expect to go through exercises that will strengthen their muscles. I especially try to choose exercises that help them with daily living activities, such as sitting to standing and maintaining balance. I also incorporate some fun into the program using hand-eye coordination exercises that will make them think and help them mentally.”
In addition to the physical and mental strengthening participants can expect, attendees will also benefit from social interaction. “This class also allows for participants to get to know each other and talk to people who are going through the same changes that they are. One participant told me how nice it is to be able to have conversations and go through the class with others who have Parkinson’s.”
A brief assessment is required before attending. Email Olivia to arrange a date and time.
