Rock Steady Parkinson’s Boxing Class
The first program in the region of its kind, Rock Steady Boxing is a non-contact boxing program that helps those with Parkinson’s disease by improving speed, agility, muscular endurance, accuracy, balance, hand-eye coordination, and footwork. Parkinson’s causes a loss in many of the same elements that boxers condition to improve. Published medical research has shown that forced, intense exercise can reduce, reverse, and delay Parkinson’s symptoms. Anyone, at any level of Parkinson’s can decrease symptoms and lead a healthier and happier life when training in the Rock Steady program.
Rock Steady Boxing classes take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 to 11:30am and 12:15 to 1:45pm. All participants must be assessed to determine which class is best suited for them.
