LEWISBURG, PA — The Miller Center for Recreation and Wellness is pleased to announce the appointment of Sue Auman as its new Director. In this role, Auman will manage the day-to-day operations of the facility, build community partnerships to enhance health and well-being, and oversee the Center’s collaboration with the Greater Susquehanna Valley YMCA. She replaces Ryan McNally, who moves into a system role as Senior Director – Strategy Execution for WellSpan Health. Auman begins her new role May 5.
Auman’s appointment comes as part of the joint venture between WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital and Geisinger to support the Center’s mission to deliver premier wellness, fitness, and recreation services for the region.
Auman brings extensive leadership experience to the role, with more than 20 years working in nonprofit management, community health, and social services. She most recently served as Chief Engagement Officer of the Community Action Association of Pennsylvania and previously led the Union-Snyder Community Action Agency. Throughout her career, she has focused on advancing health and wellness initiatives, building strong community partnerships, and improving access to essential services.
Auman holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University.
“I am honored to join The Miller Center and excited to work alongside WellSpan Evangelical and Geisinger to continue building a healthier, stronger community,” said Auman. “The Miller Center is a true community asset, and I look forward to expanding its programs and partnerships to make an even greater impact on the well-being of individuals and families in our region.”
Kendra Aucker, Senior Vice President, North Region, and President, WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital, added, “Sue’s experience in community health leadership and her passion for creating meaningful partnerships make her a tremendous asset to The Miller Center and to the greater Lewisburg community. We are confident her leadership will drive innovation and growth in our efforts to improve the overall health and wellness of those we serve.”
